I have been deconstructing objects, mostly childhood objects, reconstructing them and placing them as "monuments" in this pen drawing. It was a very meditative process. I am starting another one soon! You can see a larger photo on my blog.

I have posted pages from my newest summer sketchbook at mandoveve.blogspot.com. Enjoy! I am restricting myself a lot in terms of media, which I believe is helping me become smarter in terms of decision making. I am really loving the purity of line, which is a very large departure from my painting work. I have been thinking a lot about fragmented narratives (similar to the act of changing channels on a television) and figuring out the connections between them.
